whiteThe Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi)Solemnity
Mass of the Solemnity; Gloria, sequence optional, creed, Preface of Holy Eucharist I or II.
 [167] Deut 8:2-3, 14b-16a; Ps 147:12-13, 14-15, 19-20; 1 Cor 10:16-17; John 6:51-58.
Hours of the Solemnity. Te Deum.
It is fitting to hold a procession after Mass, or after a protracted, public adoration following the Mass. The Sacred Host, which should be consecrated during that Mass, is placed in the monstrance on the altar after the Communion of the faithful. Then, after the Prayer after Communion, omitting the usual Concluding Rites of the Mass, the Blessed Sacrament may be carried in procession, even outside the church, according to local customs. The solemn blessing with the Blessed Sacrament concludes the entire celebration: the usual blessing by the priest is replaced by the blessing with the Blessed Sacrament. [cf. 2002 RM, DPPL 162-163, also HCWEOM, nos. 101-108]
For weekdays following, use Week 2 of the Psalter.
